Introduction to our Laboratory Services

Most process and manufacturing industries have the potential for losses. These often result from fire or explosion in their operations, by virtue of handling "hazardous" materials. These could be flammable liquids, flammable gases, combustible solids or reactive chemicals. The potential for incidents also exists wherever such hazardous materials are transported.

The Burgoyne Laboratory supports the consulting services of the Burgoyne Group by ensuring that reliable data on flammability and reaction thermochemistry is available. This enables hazard assessments to be carried out with confidence to provide a reliable basis of safety and to assist the diagnosis of causes of incidents.

The Laboratory can also conduct suitable tests to allow clients to fulfil their duties as suppliers. This involves providing suitable and sufficient data on material safety data sheets and to assist in classifying materials for transport of dangerous goods.
